Does a missing public profile prove a shadowban?
No. It can match a classic shadowban signal, but it can also mean the username is wrong, the account was deleted or renamed, or public data is temporarily unavailable. Compare the result with what you see while signed in.
Can this detect a subreddit ban or removed post?
No. A subreddit ban, AutoModerator filter, Crowd Control decision, or one removed post can happen while the public account profile remains visible.
Do I need to sign in with Reddit?
No. The check uses public profile data and never asks for a Reddit password or access token.
What should I do when no public profile is returned?
Check the username, open the profile in a private browser window, and compare that with the signed-in view. If the account works only while signed in, use Reddit's official appeal page.
